March second is Texas Independence day. So, to mark the 185th anniversary, I invited Jon Stone to sit in and talk me through the forces at play that influenced the founding of the state. We talked about the power of myth and busted a few, then tied it all up with a discussion of the role chewing gum played. Jon’s my cousin and one of the biggest Texas history buffs I know.
